We built Ambiera because we missed candles.

There is a moment, familiar to anyone who has ever loved candles, when you look at the flame and think: I should probably not leave that burning.

It happens when the baby is asleep. When the dog is curious. When you are distracted by a phone call, a good book, or simply life moving at its usual pace. The flame that was supposed to bring calm becomes a quiet source of worry. We did not want to give up candles. We wanted to give up that worry.
